What’s the Deal with Sol Cesto?
In Sol Cesto, you play as this pirate in a roguelike strategy game, spelunking through a random underground world looking to find a lost sun. Yeah, weird? Yes, but in a cool way.
Here’s how it works: pick one of four rows to move into, and the game randomly drops you on a tile in that row: could be a monster, a pile of gold, or a trap that ruins your day. No way to know until you commit. It’s all about risk versus reward, push forward, or play it safe.
As you go deeper, you grow in strength and subsequently new abilities, crazy stuff that can either save or mess up your day, comes along. There are even these “teeth” mechanics, some of which tweak rules in your favor, while some curse you with brutal effects. It’s unpredictable; it keeps things fresh.
What Is in the Game at Present? (Early Access)
Development continues on the game, but there is quite a bit of content to sink into even in this version:
3 Biomes: every color equipped with enemies and traps (2 more in future release).
4 Playable Characters: Each has unique skills (4 others are planned later).
Stone and Metal Teeth: Game changers redefining rules or letting havoc spread.
Loads of Items: Some help you fight, others let you escape sticky situations.
Mysterious NPCs: Some give hints, others..well, don’t trust them too much.
